Show Notes

In this episode, we visit one of my favourite Tudor places in London: the Charterhouse. Once a prestigious religious institution, its history embraces piety, bloodshed, triumph and treason as men of God, and men of power came and went, shaping not only its history but the very fabric of the building. The Charterhouse is off the Tudor trail, tucked away in a quiet garden square, with many people unaware of its existence. For an on-location tour, join me and our Charterhouse guide, James, as we explore this wonderful historic building with some of its original medieval and Tudor structures still intact.
